 Trillium Govanianum / Mattar Jarri is an endangered medicinal plant found in temperate forest zones of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Hazara and Malakand regions) between the elevation range of 2500  to 4000 meters. Locally it is called Mattar Jarri, Tri Patti or Dood Bacha. It is identified by

its three leaves in one whorl at the summit of the stem and a solitary purple flower in the center. The extraction isolated from the plant are used in various preparations like sex hormones, rheumatism and regulation of menstrual cycle. Also used in stomach related problems.
