Clammy Cherry is a medium size flowering/fruit Tree plant. It is a Medicinal Plant, having round shaped leave with small size off-white creamy color sticky pulp berry type fruit with strange sweeten taste. The pickle of its fruit is popular in India and Pakistan. This tree is providing a well shad. Clammy Cherry is called لسوڑا in Urdu (in Pakistan). Its botanical name is Cordia Obliqua. It belongs to medium sized tree family. Its fruits getting ready for harvest in August (in some areas in September). The native areas of Clammy Cherry - Cordia Obliqua - Lasoora لسوڑا are Bengal, India & some areas of Pakistan.

پھل کھانسی، سینے کی بیماریوں، اور دائمی بخار کے علاج میں مفید ہیں. وہ پیاس کم، اور پیشاب کے کھولتے ہوئے، جوڑوں اور حلق کے جلنے سے درد کو ہٹاتا ہے اور تللی اور باسو کی بیماریوں کے علاج میں موثر ہے. پھل جنوبی ایران میں تسکین بخش کے طور پر استعمال کیا جاتا ہے
پاکستان اور بھارت میں، روایتی ادویات میں استعمال کیا جاتا ہے: پھل کھانسی اور پھیپھڑوں کی بیماریوں کے لئے ایک expectorant کے طور پر استعمال کیا جا سکتا. خام پھل ایک سبزی کے طور پر استعمال کیا جاتا ہے.
Medicinal properties
The fruit is sweet and have effects like slightly cooling, anthelmintic, purgative, diuretic, expectorant, and useful in diseases of the chest, urethra, dry cough, biliousness and chronic fever. It lessens thirst and the scalding of urine, removes pains in the joints, bad humours, burning of the throat and also good in diseases of the spleen (As per Yunani system).
The juice of the bark is given in gripes, along with coconut oil. The bark and unripe fruit are used as a mild tonic.
The kernels are a good remedy in treatment of ringworm. The leaves are useful as an external application to treat ulcers and headache.
The Santals use a powder of the bark for external application in prurigo. The Javanese use the bark in treatment of fevers
